General Information

The Department of Neurology at Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College provides students with advanced knowledge and clinical training in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders. Equipped with the latest neuroimaging, electro physiology and other diagnostic technologies, students gain hands-on experience in managing complex cases under the guidance of highly skilled neurologists.

Mission
  • To impart holistic training in Neurology so that after completion of course doctors serve humanity with confidence and compassion.
  • To inculcate the desire to know what we don’t know at present.
Vision
  • To make Neurology department a center of Excellence.
  • To start Epilepsy surgery programme in collaboration with the department of Neurosurgery.
  • To study functional MRI imaging studies in neurological conditions like migraine & Parkinson's disease.
  • To use transcortical magnetic stimulation in stroke rehabilitation & primary aphasias.
