Speciality Clinics

a. Lung Transplant Clinic

We have started a lung transplantation program since April 2022. Our department, in collaboration with other transplant departments, has conducted 2 heart-lung and 2 lung transplants to date. We are the first private medical college in Maharashtra to start this lung transplant program.

b. Smoking Cessation Clinic

The Smoking Cessation Clinic comprises counseling by respiratory physicians, assessment of lung age with the help of spirometry, and guidance about various smoking cessation methods.

c. Sleep Clinic

We have a Level-3 Polysomnography lab along with Auto CPAP titration. Before the sleep study, patients undergo pre-sleep evaluation, which includes dental assessment for providing mandibular advancement devices in addition to CPAP as therapeutic modalities.

d. Asthma Clinic

On every Tuesday, the Bronchial Asthma Clinic is conducted from 12 PM to 1 PM. Patients are given comprehensive asthma education comprising the nature and course of the disease, inhalational techniques, and avoidance of allergens.

e. COPD Clinic/Pulmonary Rehabilitation

On every Friday, the COPD Clinic is conducted from 12 noon to 1 PM, along with faculty from the physiotherapy department. Patients are counseled about the importance of pulmonary rehabilitation.
